Meet Val Farrell! 👋

“The B is for Bridie, my partner, V is for Val, so B&V nurseries is what we are.”

Val is managing director of B&V Nurseries. Val and his wife Bridie established their nursery in 1989 on a small piece of land on Val’s father’s farm in Man of War, Co. Dublin. Driven by their love for growing plants Val and Bridie have been running the business for over 30 years and are proud local employers.

B&V Nurseries supplies into whole sale trade, as well as to landscape contractors and garden centres.

“We utilise covers and also press the weeds rather than use chemicals where possible. We grow our products in a very open, aerated environment, which is part of our ongoing process with a view to working with the environment we have” – Val Farrell

The Green Cities Europe campaign is being run by Bord Bia – The Irish Food Board in Ireland on behalf of the IHNSA. This campaign is supported by funding from the European Union 🇪🇺
