Meet the Irish Growers participating in the #GreenCitiesEurope Campaign in Ireland – hello to Tim Schram! 👋

Tim Schram is Managing Director of Schram Plants Ltd. A family business, Schram Plants was established around 1983, now led with director, Paddy Beegan.

Schram Plants is a wholesale supplier to parks departments, local authorities and county councils as well as garden centers.

As a local business, the nursery is involved with some of the local tidy towns projects, and they have previously supplied plants for larger projects including planting projects at Dublin Zoo and St Anne’s park.

Schram Nurseries is a proud local employer in Moyvally, Co. #Kildare, and pretty much all of their staff are from a small radius of the nursery itself. 🌻

Urbanisation and climate change call for new solutions to maintain and improve the quality of life in our cities.  Public green space has a positive effect on biodiversity, climate, wellness and air quality. ‘Green Cities for a Sustainable Europe´ is a platform that encourages the greening of public spaces by providing innovative ideas, information based on scientific research, and technical expertise. Its activities address certain themes: health, climate, the economy, biodiversity and social cohesion.

The Green Cities Europe campaign is being run Bord Bia – The Irish Food Board in Ireland on behalf of the Irish Hardy Nurstery Stock Association (IHNSA). The campaign is supported by funding from the European Union 🇪🇺
