William is the owner of Abbey Nurseries in Thurles, Co. Tipperary, and the Nursery is a campaign supporter of Green Cities Europe in Ireland.

Abbey Nurseries is a first-generation business. William started the business over 22 years ago, and is now operating on a second site and has 5 acres under production. The nursery mostly supplies garden centres, as well as argi-chains and landscapers.
