☀️ We’re reflecting on an incredible summer for the Green Cities Campaign in Ireland, which included our very own Parklet at Bord Bia – The Irish Food Board‘s #Bloom festival.

Check out this short video for some highlights of our simple – but very effective – urban parklet garden

“We want to introduce people into greening our cities for the future, and emphasizing Irish grown products🌱, that will sustain and maintain in this environment.” – Val Farrell, President of the Irish Horticulture and Nurserystock Association (IHNSA)

“Most of us are now living in cities, and urban spaces….and what we might have is a few trees, or hanging baskets or balconies 🌻. So this space [the Green Cities Parklet] is an exemplar, of what you can do. How you can make it a much more beautiful space to live for you, your family and indeed all living creatures around us” – Gary GrahamAssociation of Landscape Contractors of Ireland (ALCI)

“The Green Cities campaign is trying to encourage as much green development as possible in all the building work that’s going on in Ireland. The plants take up carbon dioxide. They provide shading, and it’s also so important for water drainage” – Michal Slawski, Development and Marketing Specialist, Horticulture, with Bord Bia – The Irish Food Board.

The Green Cities Europe campaign is being run by Bord Bia on behalf of the IHNSA. This campaign is supported by funding from the European Union 🇪🇺

Massive thanks to O’Brien Landscaping, Dublin City CouncilÁit Urbanism + Landscape for all the work and partnership that went into creating this amazing space.
