Dublin Landings nominated for the European Green Cities Award


Dublin Landings has been nominated for the prestigious European Green Cities Award. The project has been selected because it is an example of how we can design our cities in the future. Urbanisation and climate change call for new solutions to maintain and improve the quality of life in our cities. By specifically using green space, Dublin Landings is setting an example here.

With the nomination Dublin Landings is now competing with twelve other countries, where inspiring solutions have also been nominated. The thirteen projects will be assessed in the coming period by an international jury of professionals. The thirteen participating projects are listed on

European Green Cities Conference and Award Ceremony takes place on Wednesday, 8th December 2021.

The internationally winning project will be announced during an online conference and award ceremony on Wednesday 8 December. The conference is free of charge and will start at 5h00 (CET). Other time zones: 4h00 PM (WET) and 6h00 PM (EET). The conference offers lectures of international experts on a political, a scientific and an architectural level that give their insights on the successful integration of trees and plants into public areas. The event will be opened with a speech from the ENA-president Mr. Henk Raaijmakers and Mr. Norbert Lins, Member of the European Parliament, Chair of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRI Committee).

Afterwards the award ceremony will take place. The winner of the European Green Cities Award 2021 will be announced by Mr. César Luena, Member of the European Parliament, Vice-Chair of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI Committee).
